EP.16: Why Amazon Alexa Really Matters for Banks⎜#MakerZone

November 16, 2016

In 2007, Apple released the iPhone without much fanfare. They have since sold over 1 billion of them. Last year, Amazon released Alexa - a smart voice-enabled speaker that was received by critics as a fad way to for people to buy more stuff from the e-comm retailer. Alexa is now pioneering voice enabled technology and Amazon has quietly sold millions of the device.

There's something very interesting happening right now which only very few know, that may scale very quickly just like the iPhone did. In this #MakerZone, you'll learn about how we in the innovation team are piloting Amazon Alexa to learn about what "skills" will be valuable in a banking context. Just how big it will get? We'll just have to wait and see.
